The Hidden Messages in Water, by Dr Masaru Emoto

“To understand water is to understand the cosmos, the marvels of nature, and life itself.” – Dr. Masaru Emoto

Not only do we live in water while in utero, but as fetuses, we are 99% water. We are 90% are birth, 70% water in adulthood and 50% in our golden years. We can all agree that we humans, exist throughout our lives as water.

Medically speaking and from a physical perspective, adult humans are approximately 60 – 70%. water. Water exists in every cell, in every organ and in all our tissues.  It is essential for regulating our body temperature and maintaining bodily functions. Water filters and flushes waste as we urinate and defecate.  It transports many essential molecules, nutrients and vitamins into our blood stream and cells.  It helps our brains to function being the main component of cerebral spinal fluid.  Water acts as a lubricant to prevent friction between tissues (aka fascia) in the body.  We need water to hydrate our fascia and to keep our bodies flexible and mobile.  If we become less then 50% water, we will die! I could write many blogs on the western medical importance of water, but honesty, Dr Emoto’s research, whether reproducible or not is way more compelling and reason to drink water than any medical journal or lecture I have read or attended.

The Hidden Messages in Water, by Dr Masaru Emoto

Again, so we all get it, we, as humans, exist as water!  The late Dr. Masaru Emoto, a water researcher and the author of The Hidden Messages in Water concluded that human consciousness has an effect on the molecular structure of water.  While taking photographs of water, he discovered something truly remarkable.

The Hidden Messages in Water, by Dr Masaru Emoto

Dr. Emoto discovered the beautiful and sometimes chaotic array of water crystals while water was exposed to a variety of music and words. He uncovered that water has wisdom and that water crystals are “filled with lessons concerning how we should — and must — live our lives.” I know this is a crazy idea for some us to wrap our heads around, but take a look at his research and see for yourself.

Dr. Emoto’s photographs of crystals started with different types of water placed in separate Petri dishes.  He exposed them to a variety of music and words, then froze them at -4°F (-20°C) for 3 hours.  He witnessed variable crystal formations dependent upon the where the water came from, the type of music like Beethoven verses heavy metal and words like “thank you” and “you disgust me.”  He showed that water changes form from both positive and negative emotions and he proved that aggression causes a change in waters memory that can evoke aggressive states in otherwise calm people.

In Dr. Emoto’s ground breaking experiment, he placed rice in 3 separate beakers and covered the rice with water. Everyday for 1 month he said to beaker #1, “thank you,” to beaker #2, “you are an idiot” and to beaker #3, he ignored.  After 1 month the rice that was thanked, began to ferment with a pleasant aroma, the rice that was told “you are an idiot” turned black and the rice that was ignored began to rot. Through his research, Dr. Emoto found that water has the ability to copy and memorize information. He related this research to children.  Imagine the harm to a child that is abused or neglected being 70 – 90% water.  It could even be concluded that a person who sends negative thoughts out into the world is polluting their own bodies and other living beings.

Now, I want to make this clear, as this is concerning being a western medical practitioner, this information is not supported and has even been rejected by the western medical community. This may be for good reason.  It has been argued that his research is not reproducible and they were not controlled studies. With that being said, what is the harm in sending love to a vital source of prana.  Why is so hard to believe that which we cannot understand.  I will let you make your own educated decision about how you choose to receive this information and how you choose to treat yourself, others and the importance of drinking water to maintain adequate hydration.

So, how much water do we need to intake every day?  My mentor, Dr. Guy Voyer, says a minimum 1/2 our body weight in ounces and likely more depending on the weather, daily exercise, our diets, our physical health, medications we take and our stress levels to name a few.

We not only need water to physically survive, we also need water to be happy.  So, I ask you this…. What will you say to your water before you drink it? What will you say to your body knowing that the water in your body responds to your positive and negative words and thoughts?  What kind of music will you to listen to?  How will you move about your life and interact with others knowing that we are all connected through our words, thoughts, feelings and emotions?

I will leave you with this….

“Water… taught me the delicacy of the human soul, and the impact that “love and gratitude” can have on the world.” – Dr. Masaru Emoto (July 22, 1943 – October 17, 2014)

Best wishes,

P.S. Watch Fish People on Netflix. It’s only 46 minutes. It a beautiful documentary that reveals how healing water can be to the soul.
